Ways with Washi
Today I’m sharing a sneak for a card that I created for the Lime Tart blog which incorporates the use of washi tape. If you are like me, you will have a sizeable stash of this gorgeous tape and this card quickly creates cards with a lovely pop of colour.
You can check out my card here.
Enjoy Today
Have you been to the Lime Tart blog lately? There has been some beautiful work shared lately by the talented design team ladies and worth a visit!
Today I am sharing a card featuring the Stampendous Botanical Asperula stamp. Check out the details here.
An Imaginary Voyage
Let me take you on an imaginary journey, but first you will need a cup of tea! I’ll wait while you make a cup……
When I started working on my January design team project for LuLu Art I came across this quote somewhere on Pinterest and thought it the perfect inspiration. Especially as I have a prized collection of china cups to use for detailing!
As part of the project I created a YouTube video – you can see it here. Perhaps sign up for my YouTube channel while you are there?
Of course, all the supplies are available from LuLu Art and are listed on Lisa’s blog post about my project here.
2014 – New Challenges, New Online Classes, New Art
I love a creative challenge and I’m becoming an online class junkie. Last year I dabbled in a few online classes, some with more success than others but I have learnt something from each of them. I plan to do a review post on the ones I did over the next few weeks.
In 2013, I procrastinated about taking on Lifebook or One Little Word and decided that I didn’t really have the time or focus as I wanted to get my Purple Salt indie business up and running. Time alone during the last days of 2013 made me realise that I really did want to join in the Lifebook movement and I have found myself doing it plus One Little Word (run by Ali Edwards) & The Documented Life Project!
So far all good and although completely different, each share similar elements which will enhance my year. I love that The Documented Life Project has a big element of mixed media in the prompts and challenges. In a bid to share my mixed media projects more regularly – here is my first one from Lifebook 2014 – the warm up exercise from Week 1 with Tamara Laporte.
Supplies – acrylic paints, Liquitex inks, Archival Ink, Distress Paints, Distress Crackle, Gelatos, Darkroom Door stamps.
Magnolia Magic
Today I’m sharing a card posted on the Lime Tart blog. This magnolia stamp is so pretty and easy to colour. Read detail about how it was created here.
