Watercolour Class – Fantasy Feathers & Adapted Acordian Spine Book

Do you love using watercolour but not quite sure how to achieve cute feathers? This might be the class for you. Painting feathers are a fabulous way of learning different watercolour techniques. To complement the watercolour techniques, I will also be teaching how to fold an adapted accordion spine book that can be used to showcase your watercolour samples.

During class, we will be focussing on fine brush control, making washes, wet in wet, blending, abstract style and doodling.

You will need your basic cardmaking kit of:

  • Pencil, ruler, rubber
  • Bone folder/scoreboard
  • Scissors
  • Double sided & foamtape

Plus:

  • Watercolours in a variety of colours
  • A selection of round brushes in different sizes plus some extra brushes of different shapes. Try to bring one large (~size 12 or larger) if you can. (Watercolour brushes are not required for this class, but please bring them if you wish and I can teach you about proper care. If you wish to purchase proper watercolour brushes, we will discuss options to help you decide.)
  • As this is a beginner-style class, we will have limited Prima watercolours to share. As for many other supplies, the higher quality ones will give you better results. Bella Paperie stocks Prima watercolours.
  • N.B. watercolour cardstock is included in class cost

Bella Paperie is located at Shop 33, 302 South Pine Road, Brendale. Phone 3205 5911 to book. Class runs 1pm – 4pm, May 26 and costs $22 with some supplies provided. Details on what to bring are also on the blog and in the newsletter.
