Stampendous Pink Your Life Blog Hop

Calling Aussies for this great competition run by the Australian wholesaler for Stampendous stamps. I will be designing some inspiration cards for the monthly blog hop competitions run by The Stencil Specialists.

This month we are featuring a cute Pink Your Life set, designed by Nicoletta Zanella called Whisper Wall. I love this sweet quartet of pretty girls; I can just imagine them chattering away.

This month I decided the quirky hats needed a touch of paper piecing so here are some steps to create my card:

  • stamp image onto white cardstock and colour with pencils, leave the hats white for the next step.
  • stamp just the ‘hats’ portion of the image onto a variety of patterned paper and trimmed out the hats.
  • glue the hats over the stamped image and you are ready to layer up the card.
  • angle the main image a touch for a bit of difference.
  • stamp the greeting ‘Hello’ from SSC109 Happy Messages onto the patterned paper layer.
  • give the greeting a bit of pop by drawing some lines around it with a black pen.

Make sure you also pop over to Julie’s blog, The Stencil Specialists, Dot Leathbridge’s blog Ink Art Designs and Donna’s blog, Luv2Emboss to check out what they have created for the hop!

Contest details –
To enter please visit each blog post and comment on the February blog hop post during February 20 to 25. Each comment is one entry so comment on each blog and you will have three entries into the contest. Make sure you only comment once per blog. This competition is open to Australian residents only and the winner will be selected randomly by Julie after February 25th. The prize will be PLCP008 Whisper Wall Cling Rubber stamp.

Good luck!

  1. Hi Robyn. I looove the paper piecing with the hats! It makes the pixies look more quirky…like all good pixies should look! The pixies are the hero of the card, and they look fabulous.

  2. Hi Robyn,
I love this, the colours just pop out at you, and I feel this
card could make a great Christmas card too with the
vibrant colours, another Aussie Christmas feeling.
    🙂

  3. Thanks Crece! I’ve updated my post with Donna’s blog address so if you would like to pop over & visit you will get an extra chance to win.

  4. Thanks Julie, I’d never thought of using the image for Christmas but you are right – they would be perfect! I’ve updated my post with Donna’s blog address so if you would like to pop over & visit you will get an extra chance to win.

  5. Thanks Dot, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw their sweet hats! I just love how you have used the stamp as well – so clever.

  6. Patterned hats and bright colours make for very happy pixies. I also like how the main image is off centre slightly…adds to the cool hipness of the pixies 😉

  7. Hi Ms. Robyn. How fun to see this adorable fairy image done in so many different ways. I love paper piecing, the slant of your image, and the fun hello sentiment with your own “stitching” lines! Great job. I’m so delighted to join you, Dot and Julie in this challenge and wishing you a happy day from USA. 🙂
